# Monica Galetti.

A premium editorial site for the MasterChef judge, with WooCommerce and a Barclays ePDQ payment gateway sitting quietly behind a refined brochure feel.

## The brief

Monica required a refresh of her existing website with a cleaner, professional feel that would highlight her work and personality. A small eCommerce section with a few products was needed but wasn't to take centre stage - the focus was on the editorial content and imagery.

The build was fairly straightforward but there were a few challenges; such as the masonry gallery layout that had to work on different screen sizes without resorting to a basic layout on smaller devices, and the ePDQ integration which had to be secure and seamless while fitting into the overall design without feeling like a bolt-on shop.

It also needed to be easy for non-technical staff to update - Monica's team needed to be able to add & edit products, update content, and manage the site without needing to understand complex CMS interfaces.

## Scope

  • [x] Editorial-first WordPress theme
  • [x] WooCommerce eCommerce section with minimalistic feel
  • [x] Barclays ePDQ payment gateway

## Clean, minimalistic eCommerce website

ePDQ was the required payment processor, and whilst it had a dedicated WordPress plugin, it wasn't as straightforward to integrate as other solutions such as Stripe.
