One of the main challenges of this website was that it was a redesign of an existing ecommerce website, meaning the new theme had to be built so that it could be swapped with the current one and not have the website down for an extended period of time.

This was tricky as the new theme had to make significant overhauls compared to the previous theme, as the design was very different. In the end the website was in maintenance mode for less than 30 minutes and the swap was complete. The new theme had to be built that you could essentially install it over any WooCommerce website and the WooCommerce elements would fit straight in.

Another challenge was choosing the scrolling animations to have over the website. These were specifically requested but I didn't want to go overboard as the spacious, high quality image centric design would lose some of its "premium" feel. I also had to make sure the animations would work on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, otherwise visitors will feel as though the website may be broken.

There are a few pages with custom block functionality. Most notably are the "Meet the Team" block, the FAQ accordions, and image carousels that appear throughout the website. I wanted these to be custom built rather than using blocks from a plugin as plugins can add bloat to the website which I wanted to avoid.
